This pipe is made up of a longitudinal butt welded aluminium layer that is surrounded on the inside and outside by layers of cross-linked polyethylene. The aluminium provides excellent resistance to pressure and temperature. The inner and outer PEX layers inhibit scaling and corrosion whilst the addition of aluminium gives the pipe its strength that makes it the best alternative to copper.
